PBL Tahoe: South Lake Community Coordinator

The South Lake Community Coordinator supports the South Tahoe K-12 Leadership group and other place-based service-learning activities in the southern half of the California portion of the Lake Tahoe Basin (as well as working with Nevada and the north shore). The community coordinator contracts with Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP) and is funded primarily by California Proposition 13 monies. The coordinator is Dan Allison.

Dan is a long time environmental educator who has worked in residential outdoor schools in California, as a substitute teacher, a computer support specialist for schools and community colleges, a wilderness ranger, and several other careers. Dan has a California Multiple Subjects Credential and Nevada Elementary Teaching License. [resume]
